Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic music composer, performer and singer. He combines soul gospel jazz with R&B to make a distinctive combination. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Avery Sunshine has been a hit everywhere. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Though she's from Atlanta however, her ancestors are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to grow as a musician, playing instruments as well as singing in churches. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan; it has since been re-mixed by many producers and remains a mainstay of her live sets. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. The band was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, invited her to serve as the director of choral for the production. Sunshine gained national recognition during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2009 inauguration.
